Lookout tower in Terchová

The Terchovské srdce lookout tower is clearly visible when you come to Terchová from Žilina It rises on the Oblaz hill (609 m.n.m.)

Its shape was inspired by the gallows, which was used in the filming of Jánošík with Paľo Bielik (1935). The gallows were also built on the Oblaz hill. The name is derived from thefolk song Terchovské srdce.

An easy educational route marked in blue and green leads to the Terchovské srdce lookout tower. The top of the lookout tower is reached by a narrow staircase and there are three terraces on it, from which you can enjoy theview of Malá Fatraand its famous hills Malý Rozsutec and Veľký Rozsutec.

The lookout tower is accessible on foot from Apartments Skalka. Alternatively, parking is available at the beginning of the sidewalk.

The lookout tower is open all year round.
